Vacation time!

When you have a giant breed dog, 2 cats, about 12 bunnies plus a teen, vacations can get very interesting!!! 

Our newest Saint Bernard is Aiviq (it means walrus in Yupik) and he is a puppy so he had to come on vacation with us.  Then finding someone to watch the cats,
rabbits and the garden is always a fun adventure but somehow, despite all the challenges this summer, we have spent the last week in Maine with John's parents.

 It has been an enjoyable vacation but always we have to work around Bek and her health issues.  Not that it has been any kind of problem since we haven't done anything major but she has had a few bad nights with little sleep.  That hasn't been enough to stop her from shopping with Nana for several days.  They managed to pick up an entire wardrobe for school in just a few days,  Shoes, tops, lots of pants, and a few more dresses.

We head home tomorrow and that will set a flair off if anything will.  2 days in the car for 1350 miles is not fun but we really don't want to add an extra day.  And lest anyone think we are pushing Bek, think again, she is actually with her dad on this.  I am the one who wants 3 days and 2 nights but they have overruled me.  So, I will suffer in the car and we will get home sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.  Of course, the blessing of not making reservations is that we can always stop if needed.  Mom may win after all!  LOL!

Once we are home I will update the blog again and post some pictures.  Aiviq had a great time with the ponies but we missed pictures.  I did get some pictures of him in the yard and Bek with her cousins.  It has been a wonderful trip.
