I really am going to do better at keeping a blog. In fact, if ambition strikes, I might keep one for my family and one for fibro mom. Wow- that would seriously be interesting,
School ended on a good note for Rebekah. Although she was about 4 weeks behind by May 1st, she was able to pull a C, 2 A's and 2 A- s for the semester. Her GPA for the year is a 3.4 which her doctors, school counselor and family all find incredible. Of course, a few things did get delayed. Science is being done this summer via BYU on-line high school, Driver's Ed was just completed during a 3 week summer school class, and in order to have all her classes plus a study break next year she is taking English 10 this summer as well. But so far so good.
The weather has been warm on and off which still causes problems with Beks health. Temps in the house can get in the 80's which make for misery but it is even worse when a person is heat sensitive. Luckily she likes her basement bedroom which stays cool in the summer.
July is going to be a very busy month for us but I plan to post again.

Being the mom to an incredibly stronge young woman comes with the good and the bad. She has seen several doctors this week and more than ever she was in charge. I was just along to drive and approve. These experiences gave me a glimpse into the incredible woman she will be very soon.
The last few months have revolved around tonsils. Last year was mononucleosis and this year it is apparently going to be the year of the tonsils. Several rounds of antibiotics, about 15 days of missed school since Christmas and finally we may get to see about surgery. Ben is desperate for surgery as illness is really messing up her singing.
March is the month for the ENT and perhaps surgery, some new glasses and hopefully a few rabbit shows. Now if the weather will just warm up.

Hopefully 2014 will be a better year
It is January 7th for another 18 minutes and I am already worried about whether Bek will head back to school for her second day. In all fairness, the weather has prevented school for 3 of the previous 4 school days. Friday the 3rd everyone had school. Wind chills of -35 to -50 makes busing rather dangerous.
Now my concern is about the swollen tonsils, super pale color and severe fatigue Bek is experiencing. Is it mono reappearing or is it another round of tonsillitis? She only has 10 days until the end of the semester and still needs to catch up in a couple of classes. So we desperately need to keep her healthy. Not easy when the house is in the low 60's on the main level and colder than that downstairs.
My prayers for her include strength and endurance to keep up in school. Watching her struggle with stress of not keeping up with her friends at school and church makes me so sad. Plus we received invitations to Marshall's open house again today and she is really bummed that she can not attend. They simply can not work with someone so sick. As a private school their standards are such that her health simply won't allow her to keep up.
How to help her understand that Heavenly Father loves her and knows what she is going through. John and I love her also and that makes some of this so hard to watch.
